NO ONE HELPED ME IS NOW ON SALE
Please think about buying my new book NO ONE HELPED ME. It's been a long time in the works but I'm really happy with it. It's a hard-cover, full-colour publication featuring a catalogue of my recent drawings, a READ & LISTEN story complete with a 7" record (voice by Daniel Barrow, music by Amy Linton of The Aislers Set - B side by The Ballet) and original essays by Jon Davies and Steven Matijcio. Online orders are being taken NOW. There are only 500 copies so don't wait! Canadians should order it from ART METROPOLE. More info HERE. American orders can be made directly through me. It's $50 in either country.

DANIEL BARROW HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS
Hey everyone! I recently finished a couple of projects that make great Xmas presents for under $20!
I created all of the artwork for The Ballet's new album BEAR LIFE. (www.myspace.com/sissypopband) The CD comes with a pretty magic wand that activates a cute 2 frame animation that is paired with each track. I also tell a sad story on track 5. For ordering details, click here.
Another great holiday gift idea is the Winnipeg Babysitter DVD. Order online.
Synopsis:
Daniel Barrow's Winnipeg Babysitter has been alternately described as a curatorial, performance, and a documentary project, and now finally Winnipeg’s public access history has been archived on a DVD, featuring early performances by Guy Maddin, Marcel Dzama, Neil Farber, The Cosmopolitans, Magic Mike, Natalie and Ronnie Pollock, and many more.
In the late 70s and throughout the 80s, Winnipeg experienced a golden age of public access television. Anyone with a creative dream, concept or DIY politic would be endowed with airtime and professional production services. Winnipeg Babysitter traces unique vignettes from a brief synapse in broadcasting history when Winnipeg cable companies were mandated to provide public access as a condition of their broadcasting license. Because the local public access archives were destroyed in the mid-90s, programs could only be found in the VHS collections of the original producers. In cases when these producers did not save their own work, curator Daniel Barrow had to rely on television collectors, fans and enthusiasts. In this regard, Winnipeg Babysitter is an archival project that restores a previously lost history.
Do not miss your chance to purchase a copy of this very limited edition DVD. ONLY $20

PHOTOBOOTH
I recently posted my first photobooth gallery (to the immediate left). I play on photobooth a lot and have also started making photobooth videos. I was a participant in an online art exchange over the last six weeks and nearly everything I made for the show involved photobooth. You can see all that on the replyall.ca site.

good luck charm
I can't bring myself to delete this post. It's too precious:
I found this the other day in an old box of jewelry. I do remember finding this four-leaf clover in the 4th grade, and subsequently making this homely button '(front and back views)'.
I don't have enough things from my childhood. Over the years, I have thrown out so much in various attempts to reinvent myself. I could never have discarded this however - for superstitious reasons.
I never did screw up enough nerve to wear it.
